Caryn Adrian, DVM and Shawn Clark, DVM

Dr. Caryn Adrian and Dr. Shawn Clark are both 1998 graduates of The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.       After  graduating,   they practiced  for 2 years in North Carolina, in both general practice and as emergency and critical care veterinarians.    They moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2000, where they owned  Evergreen Animal Hospital in Gig Harbor, WA.     After the birth of their daughter, Rowan, they sold their Washington practice and moved temporarily back to Georgia to be with family.    In 2009, they purchased Eagle River Animal Hospital.

Dr. Adrian has a strong belief in the Human/ Animal Bond and strives to provide the highest standard of care for her patients.     She is very interested in emergency and  critical care medicine and internal medicine, and feels most satisfied when she is able to save a patient in urgent need.     Her outside interests include being a devoted mom,  playing piano, reading, gardening,  and cross country skiing.

Dr. Clark  has a strong interest in both emergency and critical care medicine as well as in surgery.     He feels that it is very important in making each animals' visit to the hospital as stress free and pleasant as possible and really enjoys trying to bond with his patients.    Dr. Clark really enjoys being in the outdoors, be it cross country or backcountry skiing in the winter, hiking and biking in the summer or being out on the water in his kayak.

Currently (since the loss of their 4 dogs over the last few years) they only have a guinea  pig and a gerbil, but have promised their daughter a new puppy (or two) in the very near future!
