 | DR Dan and the staff of Eagle River Animal Hospital have been providing quality veterinary care to Eagle River and the Northwoods since 1983. Along with DR Carey Johnson who joined our staff in 1992, Dr. Caitlin Savagian in 2008, and a dedicated staff of assistants help to maintain a caring and comfortable environment for patients and clients.
The hospital staff consists of three full time veterinarians, a Certified Veterinary Technician four veterinary assistants, and several part time employees responsible for feeding and exercising patients and boarders. We have friendly receptionists to greet you in person, take your calls, and make sure you get your questions answered. All of our assistants share homes with a variety of pets and understand the valuable role they play in our lives. |
DR Daniel Paretsky
DR Dan is a native of Lawrence, Kansas and a 1977 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He spent 6 years in a dairy practice in southern Wisconsin before becoming the owner of the Eagle River Animal Hospital in 1983. He and his wife Carol, have four children. DR Dan has experience in a wide range of orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries as well as diagnostic and therapeutic skills involving such diseases as Blastomycosis.

DR Carey Johnson
DR Carey Johnson started working at Eagle River Animal Hospital after graduating from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Prior to Veterinary school she had been an aquatic ecologist for the state of Michigan for over 10 years. Her goals in veterinary medicine are to keep small animal pets happy, healthy and companionable. This is done with effective preventative medicine, an open ear and feedback to your concerns about the pet and a gentle hand backed up by the compassionate staff at the Eagle River Animal Hospital.

Dr.Caitlin Savagian
Eagle River Animal Hospital is pleased to announce the addition of Dr Caitlin Savagian to our staff.
Dr Savagian is a May 2007 graduate of the University Of Wisconsin School Of Veterinary Medicine. She was raised in Germantown, WI where she was heavily involved in raising, training and racing the family sled dogs. She received her undergraduate degree from Beloit College where she met her husband Shane DeMoss. They currently share their home with two cats.
Dr Savagian continues to have a strong interest in canine sports medicine and the special needs of the canine athlete. Her other interests include ophthalmology, surgery and preventative medicine.
Dr Savagian is looking forward to meeting the pet owners of the north woods area and helping to keep their pets healthy and happy.
